The STRABAG Kunstforum celebrates three artists from the collection and former STRABAG Artaward winners who are celebrating a milestone birthday this year. The special exhibition curated by Tanja Skorepa and Julia Schuster with works by Franco Kappl, Farid Sabha and Gerlinde Thuma resembles a snapshot. The exhibition title Tranche de Vie is borrowed from French theater literature of the early 20th century as well as from contemporary manga film (here called Slice of Life): the genre is characterized by a concrete reference to the moment, the here and now. The three Austrian artists, who have been working successfully for decades, provide insight into their most recent work. They present a snapshot - an essence of artistic everyday life, end open.
The exhibition takes place in the series STRABAG Artlounge Special, which presents long-standing collection artists* of the STRABAG Artcollection. Franco Kappl, Farid Sabha and Gerlinde Thuma are represented in the collection with numerous works from many creative periods of the past three decades.
The artists will be present at the opening.
