Collection

With around 8,000 works by some 500 artists, the STRABAG ART Collection is one of the most significant private collections of contemporary painting and graphic art in Austria and Europe. It focuses on Austrian post-1945 positions and emerging European talents of today. Since the founding of the STRABAG ART Award, the collection has become younger and more international.

Rather than storing artworks in a depot, the collection lives within the architecture of STRABAG itself — displayed in offices, meeting rooms, and public spaces across the company’s buildings in Austria and beyond. Selected works are also exhibited at partner institutions closely connected to
STRABAG.
