ABOUT THE ARTIST

Mária Corejová (Bratislava 1975), a graduate of Prof. Daniel Fischer's painting class at the Academy of Art and Design in Bratislava, was known to the Slovak and international public as a painter and organizer of cultural events (Burundi, 13m3). In the exhibition in the Strabag Artlounge, she presents a series of new, remarkable drawings. In these she combines references to Dada and surrealism, playfulness and irony with subtle pathos. She experiments, analyzes, comments, combines and ultimately plays - searching for the inexplicable, discovering the inexplicable, articulating the inexpressible. Juraj Carný
