Samuel Pauco, F 122, 2020, mixed technique on canvas, 250 x 200 cm, Photo: Samuel Pauco Samuel Pauco (Zvolen/SK 1986) studied at the Brno University of Technology at the Faculty of Fine Arts. He has devoted himself entirely to painting and is one of the youngest emerging generation of contemporary artists in the Czech Republic today. His works are always about an artistic discourse in relation to painting, where he considers the examination of color, structure and materiality to be essential. Time and again, Pauco works in series and deals with one and the same theme over a longer period of time. While he makes obvious references to nature, the artist is not concerned with reproducing a lifelike representation of a landscape, but rather with finding the balance between classical painting and innovative combinatorics of color and texture. Samuel Pauco received a recognition award of the STRABAG Artaward International in 2021.
